Uploading Documents to Tonic

There are three ways to get documents onto tonic:

  • Manual uploads: Go to the customer’s accounts, select the documents tab and choose a document from your PC, select a type and give it a description (optionally) then the file will be added to the account or when activated.
  • Using a barcode reader, this will require third party (not provided by tonic) software to read the barcode added by tonic, this will then be renamed with the barcode data and distributed to a folder within tonic, tonic then reads the data and distributes the file to the requested account. We recommend using Drivve Image for this as it has worked well in previous tonic installation. It is available from Selectec https://www.selectec.com/products/drivve-image/. Although you could potentially use any barcode software (we recommend consulting us before committing to a purchase).
  • When the above is activated, you are also able to emulate the above function using a method we have added to manually allow bulk uploads. Once scanned, documents are rename to their client and account ID’s given a document type code and dropped into the FTP folder (or uploaded to the central library added when barcodes are activated), tonic will treat these the same as the barcoded documents and will distribute to the correct accounts.
